Sweet Bella is owned by Annette Lansdowne and Steve Engel who have individually been searching for great pizza near home in The Woodlands Texas. There have been many meals of "OK" and "Not Bad" pizza but nothing truly outstanding. That is a little hard when your expectations are set growing up in Chicago or New York City.
Steve's parents owned a Pizzeria in Chicago which, of course, is known for great pizza. Annette grew up in Queens, New York which sets the world standard and expectations for thin crust pizza.
Annette and Steve met when they worked together on updating a restaurant to give it a fresh and inviting look. From there they realized that they were both looking for great Italian food in The Woodlands and there was a possibility of teaming up to create it.
The idea was simple. Great Pizza that satisfied both, outstanding meals at least as good as the best in the area and prices affordable by all. The search was on for the location and great pizza! And now, we have the location and a thin crust pizza that Annette loves and even Steve, who loves thick crust pizza, says is the best he has had.
So that's the beginning of Sweet Bella - Italian Kitchen and that's who we are.
